Moving to South Florida in 2019 from Philadelphia, where I practiced psychology since 1986, I have been in private practice for 35 years. Providing counseling and hypnotherapy to individuals and couples has been a focus of my career. Serving as the Director of Pain Psychology at a major teaching hospital for seven years, I have also held multiple clinical appointments at numerous hospitals. Board-Certified as a Diplomate in Behavioral & Cognitive Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology and a Certified Hypnotherapist in Florida, I specialize in treating trauma survivors, anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic pain.
An avid writer and teacher, I provide training workshops to professional therapists across the United States. With nine books to my name, along with numerous book chapters and journal articles, I am dedicated to sharing knowledge and expertise. On a personal note, I enjoy the outdoors, working out, and spending quality time with my family, friends, and German Shepherd Dog.
Utilizing techniques such as EMDR, hypnotherapy, and energy psychology, I strive to help clients make rapid and desired changes. With a client-centered approach, I tailor my therapy to fit the individual needs of each person I work with. My goal as a therapist is to provide a secure base for collaboration in helping clients evolve into their best selves.
