Since I was in middle school, I had a passion for helping others. This was the start of what turned out to be a life-long career as a therapist that has now lasted over 35 years. I have worked with people in various scenarios from adolescents and young adults while they navigate their life in new and challenging spaces and now with elderly and their adult children. The sandwich generation is my particular area of interest. I find it to be a place in life for people caring for their parents and their children. They do this while trying to find a meaningful place in life for themselves.
I enjoy riding motorcycles, RV life, patronizing new restaurants and music when I am not at work. I was blessed to be an adoptive parent with my husband, a step-parent, and a grandparent. I am also a mom to 2 large dogs and a very talkative African Grey Parrot.
As a therapist, my intention is to build a genuine, nonjudgmental and compassionate therapeutic environment. I have an interactive and eclectic approach with active engagement. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to find meaning in their life and can learn to love and accept oneself for who they are. The road to healing and self-discovery is lifelong and I would be honored to traverse this journey with you.
